Ingredients
- 8 oz Cream Cheese, softened
- 1 ½ sticks (168g total) unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups (400g) Sugar
- 4 large eggs room temperature (to save time you can warm them in a bowl of very warm water for 5 min)
- 3 cups (342g) Cake Flour- see Notes for substitution
- 1 teaspoon (4g) Baking powder
- 1 ½ teaspoons (7g) Baking soda
- ½ teaspoon (3g) Salt
- 1 ½ teaspoons (5g) Apple Pie Spice
- 1 ¼ cup (312g) Applesauce
- 1 teaspoon (4g) Vanilla Extract
- ¼ cup (54g) Vegetable oil (we used canola oil)

- 2 sticks (226g total) Unsalted butter, slightly softened
- 16 oz (452g total) cream cheese, softened (We used two 8 oz packages, full fat.)
- 2 teaspoons (8g) vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon (3g) Apple Pie Spice
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 6 to 6 ½ cups 690g to 747g powdered sugar (Adjust amount to your liking.)
