Ingredients
  • Water ****************************Maybe 1 cup
  • 20 Arbol peppers and 6 Pequin peppers
  • White distilled Vinegar **************Maybe ⅛ to ¼ cup
  • Several quarter size carrot slices (I’ll explain later)
  • Powdered Red Pepper *********Maybe ½ to 1 tsp
  • Paprika *********************Maybe ½ to 1 tsp
  • Cumin *********************Maybe ⅛ to ¼ tsp
  • Onion Powder *************** Maybe ⅛ to ¼ tsp
  • One FAT Garlic clove, or two regular sized ones
  • A few black peppercorns
  • Salt to taste
  • Xanthan gum is optional but as I found, not necessary. Maybe I added enough carrots to starch it up. Who knows?
  • This makes a little bit more sauce than would fit into a regular size Cholula bottle. Some of the spices may not be necessary. So please let me know if you think anything should be removed or added.
