Salad Dressing: Oil & Vinegar Dressing Base

Ingredients
  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup distilled vinegar
  • ¼ cup sugar (if using Swerve decrease this to 2 tablespoons)
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil (for pickling sauce omit oil)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise (optional to thicken dressing)*
  • Let sit in refrigerator overnight then pour through fine mesh sieve to remove spices.

  • 2 tablespoons Italian dressing mix (Spice Mix: Italian Dressing Mix)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise (optional to thicken dressing)*

  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar

  • Delete white vinegar
  • ¼ cup rice wine vinegar instead of distilled vinegar
  • ¼ cup red wine or balsamic vinegar
  • ¼ cup orange juice
  • ½ tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon shallots, minced
  • ½ teaspoon Creole seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise (optional to thicken dressing)*

  • Make in food processor
  • Delete water and vinegar
  • ½ cup apple cider vinegar (try this with white or balsamic vinegar)
  • 1 (10¾-ounce) can condensed tomato soup (undiluted)
  • 2 tablespoons Wishbone Russian dressing (optional) - hold off on adding until you've
  • tasted the completed batch
  • 1½ teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup salad oil
Steps
  1. Add all ingredients to food processor or blender except oil and mix well.
  2. While blending, drizzle in oil.
  3. Chill at least 1 hour before using.
