Spanish rice
Ingredients
  • 1 T. oil and 1 cup of rice.
  • Brown the rice (be careful not to burn it)
  • When rice is browned immediately add
  • 2 cups of hot water,
  • 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce,
  • 1 tsp. salt,
  • ½ tsp onion powder,
  • ¼ tsp. garlic powder.
  • Bring to a boil.  Reduce heat to low and put lid on pot.  Let cook for 10 to 20 minutes.
