Milky Way Bars
Christmas Cookie

Ingredients
  • 60 caramels
  • 1 German cake mix
  • ⅓ c evaporated milk
  •  
  • ½ c evaporated milk
  • ⅔ c margarine /butter
  • 1 c semi sweet chocolate chips
Steps
  1. 1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. 2. Mix the cake mix, melted margarine, and ⅓ c evaporated milk.
  3. 3. Pat ½ cake mixture in pan and bake for 8 minutes.
  4. 4. In microwave, melt caramels and ½ c evaporated milk, set aside.
  5. 5. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top and pour caramel evenly on top of the baked cake mix.
  6. 6. Let all of this chill - the more you chill at this stage the more distinct the layers will be and the easier the next step will be.
  7. 7. Evenly spread the rest of the remaining cake mix over the caramel layer.
  8. 8. Bake 20 minutes.
  9. Cool completely - then cut.
Notes
  • Bars will be VERY gooey when they first come out of the oven. Need to cool complete before cutting (unless you want to be covered in caramel!)
