Ingredients

- 3 large egg yolks
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- ⅛ teaspoon table salt
- 1¼ cups half-and-half
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 whole graham crackers, broken into pieces (or ⅓ cup store-bought graham cracker crumbs)
- 1 cup whipped cream (see note)
