Slow Cooker Teriyaki Steak Tips with Peppers and Mushrooms
Ingredients
  • ⅔ cup light or reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • ⅔ cup mirin (sweet rice wine)
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp ginger root peeled and finely grated
  • 1 tbsp garlic, minced
  • ⅓ cup water
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil, divided
  • 3 lb top sirloin steak, cut into 1 to 2" cubes
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 cup white onion, diced
  • 1 red bell pepper, cut into 1" pieces
  • 1 green bell pepper, cut into 1" pieces
  • 8 oz cremini mushrooms, quartered
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 3 tbsp green onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 tsp sesame seeds
