Shrimp And Crab Toast
Ingredients
  • You can make the filling ahead of time(1 to 2 days) in the fridge. Ready to bake when guests arrive.

  • sliced bread (any kind) baguette works the best
  • 1 lbs roughly chopped raw shrimp
  • 1 lbs roughly chopped imitation crab(optional real crab)
  • ½ cup chopped green onions or more if prefer.
  • 2 egg white ( help filling get puffy and fluffy)
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ½ teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • Mix well together and refrigerated for 15 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 400f
  • 1•Scoop a spoon full of filling on top of the sliced bread (be generous, no body want toast with skimpy topping ). Sprinkle with paprika
  • 2•Place toast on top of cooling rack inside a baking pan. Or just line the baking rack with parchment paper.
  • 3•Bake for 20 to 25 minutes on the middle rack at 400f. Add a few more minutes if prefer more toasty.
  • Ps, you can substitute imitation crab with real crab if preferred. Me, personally think imitation crab works better with this recipe.
