Ingredients
  • Smothered Green beans
  • These green beans are such a nice change from green bean casserole or just plain green beans!!!
  • 5 - 15 oz can either cut or Italian flat green beans (I used 3 - 38 oz cans)
  • Drain juice and rinse beans. Place in bowl.
  • 1 lb of bacon done not quite crisp, chopped into pieces, add to beans.
  • (I do mine in the oven, see the post on “how to” it’s easy and NO MESS!!)
  • Sauce
  • ⅔ cup packed brown sugar
  • ¼ stick butter - melted
  • ¼ cup soy sauce (I use low sodium)
  • 2 teaspoons granulated garlic.
