Ingredients
- subheading: Patties:
- 600g Minced Lamb Meat
- 1 tbsp (15ml) lemon juice
- 45g mixed chillies
- 14g (4 cloves) garlic
- 25g fresh ginger
- 25g fresh coriander
- 1tsp tummeric
- 5g Gram Masala
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 10ml sesame seed oil
- salt and pepper to taste
- subheading: Tzatziki:
- 170g greek yogurt (Fage)
- 200g fresh green cucuamber
- 10g (3 cloves) garlic
- salt and pepper to taste
- zest of 1 lemon
Steps
- subheading: Burgers:
- Blend oil, de-seed chillies (if you like your food spice leave some seeds in), garlic, ginger, fresh coriander, lemon juice and all spices in a food processor.
- Mix the paste into the mince and form 8 small patties.
- Fry them or grill them.
- subheading: Tzatziki:
- We need to avoid any excess water. The best result is achieved by peeling and de-seeding the cucumber, but if you are in a rush just grate it and pat with paper towel to remove any additional moisture.
- Combine the yogurt, cucumber, lemon juice and garlic.
- Place in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours for the flavours to fully develop.
