Cheese Sauce

Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups cream or milk
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • White Pepper to taste
  • Dash of Tabasco sauce
Steps
  1. Melt butter in top of double boiler. Add flour, stirring constantly. Cook slowly, continuously stirring, for 10 minutes. Do not let brown.
  2. Slowly add milk and cheese, stirring constantly. Continue cooking until cheese is melted.
  3. Add seasoning to mixture.
