Small Batch Chocolate Chip Cookies
A classic chocolate chip cookie that will make just enough cookies to satisfy a craving or to share with someone.

Ingredients
  • ½ cup + 1 tbsp all purpose flour
  • ¼ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter at room temp
  • ¼ cup light brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 2 tbsp granulated white sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  • ⅓ cup chocolate chips
Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. In a small bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth.
  3. Add in the egg yolk and vanilla, mixing until fully combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, add your dry ingredients and gently whisk them until fully incorporated.
  5. Add your dry ingredients to your wet ingredients and mix until fully incorporated.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes and let cool for up to 10 minutes on the baking sheet.
Notes
  • For easier cleanup, use parchment paper (not wax paper) on your baking sheet.
