Basic Red Sauce for the Freezer
Ingredients
  • 8 c hot water
  • 48 oz tomato paste
  • 112 oz diced tomatoes
  • 96 oz tomato sauce
  • 1 c chopped onion
  • 4 T minced garlic
  • 2 t dried basil
  • 2 t dried oregano
  • ½ c dried parsley
  • 2 t dried thyme
  • ¼ c sugar
  • 2 T salt
Steps
  1. Combine hot water and tomato paste and mix until smooth.
  2. Add remaining ingredients.
  3. Freeze in 3 cup increments and use as pasta or pizza sauce.
