Servings: 4-6

  • 6 russet potatoes, mashed
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cans tomato soup*
  • 2 can cut green beans, drained**
  • 1 can corn, drained**
  • Shredded cheddar cheese
Steps

  2. Preheat oven to 350°
  3. Brown beef with onion, season with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder to taste, drain grease.
  4. Add soup, veggies, mix well.
  5. Put beef mixture into oven safe deep dish, cover with mash potatoes, spread shredded cheese on top, cover with foil and bake till dish is bubbling. Remove foil and bake an extra 10 to 15 mins till cheese is melted.
Notes
  • *Optional tomato soup sauce: Don’t drain grease, add 3 to 4 Tbsp flour to soak up all grease, may need to use more flour depending on how much grease is left in pan. Flour should coat the hamburger and soak up all grease. Then add in 2 to 3 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce, depending on your taste, along with 2 cups of beef stock, more if you used more than 4 Tbsp of flour, until a semi thick sauce develops. Keep adding stock slowly until desired thickness or looseness develops. Then add veggies and continue with recipe.
  • **Optional veggies: Peas & carrots, potatoes, or anything you like it have.
