  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons dry mustard
  • ⅓ cup brown sugar
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider or red wine vinegar
  • ⅓ cup water or low-sodium broth
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch, optional, helps thicken the sauce a bit
