Ingredients
- 8 to 10 cups or 24 oz Costco bag frozen mixed berries (thaw if frozen into large chunks)
- 1 Tbl lemon juice (optional)
- 1 ½ Tbl arrowroot powder (optional)
- dash ginger (optional)
- subheading: Topping:
- 2 cups oat flour
- 2 cups rolled oats
- ½ cup pure maple syrup, agave or date syrup
- ¼ cup almond butter
- 2 tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp sea salt or miso (optional)
- cinnamon, and/or coriander and/or cardamom (optional)
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 375 F.
- Put berries in a bowl and mix in any optional seasonings. Place berries in baking dish.
- In a bowl, combine all the topping ingredients. Wearing gloves makes mixing the topping easier and cleaner. Rub together with fingers until mixture comes together in small clumps.
- Spread the crumble over the fruit.
- Bake until golden brown, about 20 to 30 minutes, until berry juice bubbles trough the topping.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- Oat flour - 2 ½ cups of rolled oats makes 2 cups of flour. Pulse rolled oats in a food processor until they reach a flour-like consistency.
