Cold Start Yogurt for Yogurt Maker
This is a no-boil or cool recipe... so easy :)

Ingredients
  • 1 300 ml can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup boiling water... 220g
  • 4 cups whole or any dairy milk... 960g
  • 1 370 ml can evaporated milk
  • 1 cup starter yogurt... 250g
Steps
  1. Sterilise all jars and equipment to be used
  2. Pour condensed milk in large bowl
  3. Stir in boiling water until well mixed
  4. Stir in the whole milk and blend well
  5. Measure starter yogurt into a separate bowl, and temper with evaporated milk
  6. Pour starter mix into large bowl and stir till well blended
  7. Pour into sterilised yogurt jars and place in yogurt maker for 8 to 10 hours
Notes
  • For even more decadence, drop 3 or 4 or maybe 5 chocolates like Maltesers or Rolos into filled jars or put jam or honey in the bottom of a jar prior to filling...
  • If your yogurt maker cannot hold 12 jars, keep the extra jars that are filled in the fridge and pop in the maker when first batch is finished.
