Instant Pot Bolognese Sauce (With Frozen Ground Beef)
Ingredients
  • 500 g Fresh or frozen lean ground beef and pork
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil: use any flavourless cooking oil you have on hand
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 celery stalks chopped
  • 2 carrots grated about 1 cup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce: substitute with 1 tablespoon brown sugar to balance the acidity from the tomato
  • 500 ml Passata: substitute with canned chopped tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • ½ tablespoon garlic granules
  • ½ tablespoon basil
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • Salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes: this is optional but use it if you want some heat in the food
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 1 Beef bouillon cube
  • Parmesan cheese to serve
