  • ¼ cup (88g) mild molasses
  • ⅔ cup (90g) plain flour
  • ¼ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp ground ginger
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ⅛ tsp ground cloves
  • ⅛ tsp ground cardamom
  • pinch salt
  • ¼ cup (60ml) boiling water
