Lo-Carb Southern Fried Chicken
Ingredients
  • 125 ml Coconut flour ½ Cup
  • 125 ml Soy flour ½ Cup
  • 1 tsp Mustard powder Or to taste
  • 1 tbsp Smoked Paprika Or to taste
  • 3 tbsp Garlic Powder Or to taste
  • 2 tbsp Onion Powder Or to taste
  • 5 tbsp Ground Cinnamon Or to taste
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 5 tbsp Splenda or equivalent of your prefered sweetener
  • 1 tbsp Low Sodium Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper ground
  • 1 Egg whisked
  • 700 grams Chicken thigh fillet Skin on (about 1.5 lbs)
  • enough Oil/Fat For frying - we used supafry lard/tallow mix
  • enough Buttermilk Enough to cover chicken - substitue with milk/cream
