Ginger Tea
Quick, easy, and great for what ails ya.

Servings: 2

Servings: 2
Ingredients
  • 1” piece of fresh ginger root, about ½” in diameter
  • 1 heaping spoonful of dark brown sugar
  • Honey, to taste
Steps
  1. Peel ginger root using the edge of a spoon. Slice into very thin pieces.
  2. Pour about 2-½ cups of water into a small saucepan. Add ginger slices and brown sugar. Bring just to boiling and gently boil, uncovered, for about 15 minutes. Turn off heat and let sit for a minute to cool slightly.
  3. Set a strainer in the top of a teacup and pour tea through it to strain out ginger slices. Stir in a spoonful of honey.
Notes
  • My favorite way to strain into a cup is to use an inexpensive mesh stainless sink strainer. It fits the top of most cups and jars, and is easy to clean.
