  • 1 cup low-sodium soy sauce (I bought gluten-free)
  • ¾ cup brown sugar, packed
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch or arrowroot
  • Garnishes: sesame seeds and chopped scallions
