Ingredients
- subheading: Kamut:
- PIP - ¼ cup kamut

- PIP - ¼ cup farro
- ¾ cup water
- ⅛ tsp salt
- 19 pressure
- 10 release
- note: pair with wheat berries
- subheading: Farro - Shiloh:
- PIP - ¼ cup farro
- ¾ cup water
- ⅛ tsp salt
- 40 pressure
- 10 release
- subheading: Wheat Berries:
- PIP - ¼ cup wheat berries
- ¾ cup water
- ⅛ tsp salt
- 19 pressure
- 10 release
- subheading: Bulgur wheat:
- PIP - ¼ cup bulgur
- ¼ + ⅛ cup water (100mls on Mason jar)
- ⅛ salt
- 14 minutes LOW pressure
- Quick-release immediately
- Turn off, remove lid, wait 10 minutes
- Can double the water and the grain, use the same time.
- note: pair with black lentils or orzo
- subheading: Millet:
- PIP - ¼ cup millet
- ¼ cup + 3 tbsp water
- ⅛ tsp salt
- 10 pressure
- 10 release
- subheading: White Quinoa - for salad:
- Rinse WELL
- PIP - ¼ cup quinoa
- ¼ cup water
- sprinkle of salt
- 4 pressure
- 10 release
- sometimes need to add a little water and let it sit after cooked - like a tablespoon or two. You can double the water and the grain and keep the same time.
- subheading: Orzo:
- PIP - ¼ cup whole wheat Orzo
- 1 cup water
- ⅛ tsp salt
- 14 minutes LOW pressure
- Quick-release
- Turn off, remove lid
- note: pair with black lentils or bulgur
- subheading: Triple (it's a compromise between the times to make them all compatible):
- Kamut, Purple Barley, Shiloh Farro
- 45 pressure
- 10 release
- Remove farro
- replace lid for 10 more (with machine off, and then just open again)
- Use ¼ or less of the grain (haven't tried more)
Steps
- subheading: PIP = "Pot in Pot" method:
- You place 1 cup of water in the bottom of the IP liner, place in a steamer rack or a trivet that will support a 16oz/pint mason glass jar. Then you put the water, salt, and grains in the glass jar.
