Dehydrated Flax Seed crackers
Ingredients
  • 3 cups flax seeds ground up in coffee grinder
  •
  • ½ cup Nama Shoya (raw soy sauce) or Braggs Aminos (or soy sauce in a pinch). Adjust this according to your taste.
  •
  • filtered water
Steps
  1. Cover ground up flax seeds with enough water so the water is about 1 inch above the top of seeds.
  2. Mix in Braggs Aminos
  3. Let sit for about 10 to 15 minutes or until the water is absorbed and the flax seed mixture is a gel.
  4. Spread gel about 1 cm thick onto parchment paper (using wet spatula or wet fingers) and put on the dehydrator trays. This made 4 trays for me.
  5. dehydrate at 115° for about 4 hours, then flip the crackers over and peel off the parchment paper.
  6. hydrate for another 4 to 6 hours, until the crackers are crispy and there are no more wet spots.
