Harissa Steamed Mussels
Ingredients
  • 3.5 pounds Mussels, cleaned
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic Olive Oil
  • 1 Shallot, finely chopped (or Onion as a substitute)
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic, minced
  • 2 large Tomatoes, peeled and diced (optional to peel)
  • 1 cup White Wine (Sauvignon Blanc or a citrusy wine recommended)
  • ΒΌ cup Fresh Parsley, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Butter, divided for use at beginning and end
  • 1 tablespoon Harissa (adjust to taste, can substitute with chili flakes for heat)
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • Zest of 1 Lemon, plus extra for garnish
