For National Pretzel Day, a 'Warm, Buttery' Homemade Pretzel Sticks
Ingredients
  • 1 ½ cups warm water
  • 30 g. brown sugar
  • 0.25 oz. dry yeast
  • 4 oz. unsalted butter, melted
  • 1.25 oz. kosher salt
  • 4 ½-to-5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 qt. water
  • ¾ cup baking soda
  • Egg wash (Crack an egg into a small bowl and add a teaspoon of water and whisk to combine; you can also just use the yolk or egg white, if preferred.)
  • Condiments and dipping sauces of choice
