beef and bacon fried cabbage

Ingredients
  • 1 lb bacon
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 2 bags preshredded coleslaw mix
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • ½ cup white vinegar
  • 1 tsp liquid splenda
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • black pepper
Steps
  1. in a large pot brown ground beef, drain and set aside.  cut bacon into 1 inch strips, add to pot.  add vinegar, splenda and half the garlic and onion powder.  cook bacon until crisp, remove from pot with metal tongs and set aside.  add onion to pot.  cook for 4 to 5 minutes.  add coleslaw mix. add remainung garlic and onion powder. cook for 5 to 7 minutes or  until desired tenderness.   add beef and bacon to the pot.
Notes
  • add 2 TBSP of soy sauce for an elevated flavor.
