Everyday Sesame Slaw
Ingredients

  • 1 yellow or red bell pepper, thinly sliced or diced
  • ½ cup finely-chopped fresh cilantro
  • ½ cup thinly sliced green onions
  • ⅓ cup sliced or slivered almonds, toasted
  • toasted sesame seeds
  • subheading: SESAME VINAIGRETTE INGREDIENTS:
  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil (or olive oil, or any other mild-flavored oil)
  • 1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce*
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 small garlic clove, pressed or minced (or ¼ teaspoon garlic powder)
  • sea salt and freshly-cracked black pepper
