Porkless Burgers (Vegan, Oil Free & Grillable)
Ingredients
  • 2 cans of black beans (drained & rinsed)
  •  
  • 2 cans of white beans (drained & rinsed)
  •  
  • 1 cup of cooked brown rice
  •  
  • 1 cup of raw quick-cooking oats
  •  
  • ¼th cup vital wheat gluten
  •  
  • ⅓rd cup maple syrup
  •  
  • 2 tbs sage
  •  
  • 1 tbs crushed red pepper flakes
  •  
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  •  
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  •  
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  •  
  • 1 tsp thyme
  •  
  • 1 tsp paprika
  •  
  • ⅛th tsp clove
  •  
  • ⅛th tsp nutmeg
  •  
  • ⅛th tsp cinnamon

Steps

  2. Add the beans to the stand mixer bowl
  3. Mix with the stand mixer on low-medium speed using the scraper paddle attachment for 1 to 2 minutes
  4. Add the rest of the ingredients to the beans and mix on low-medium speed for 3 to 5 minutes
  5. Using mixture form into patties of your desired size
  6. Freeze patties on a baking sheet covered with wax or parchment paper for 8 to 12 hours
  7. Get your grill very hot (450 F+)
  8. Grill on each side for 3 to 5 minutes (waiting to flip the first time until the burgers release easily from the grill
