Hasselback potatoes or Potato à la Hasselbacken (Swedish: Hasselbackspotatis) are a type of baked potato, where the potatoes are about halfway cut through into thin slices; various toppings can be added on top of the potatoes.
Hasselback potatoes were created in 1953 by Leif Elisson from Värmland, who was trainee chef at restaurant Hasselbacken on Djurgården in Stockholm.

- Arrange the potatoes in a baking tray and insert the garlic in between the slits. Scatter some butter on top of each potato.
- Drizzle the EVOO and sprinkle some salt and freshly ground black pepper.
- Bake the potatoes for about 20 to 25 minutes or until the potatoes turn crispy and the flesh is soft.
- Put potatoes on a plate and sacrifice a goat to Loki to thank him for not making the dinner burn.
