Hot Water Cornbread Fritters
Ingredients
  • HOT WATER FRIED CORNBREAD FRITTERS
  • 1-½ cups Yellow or White Cornmeal
  • ½ cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1-½ Teaspoons Salt
  • 2 cups Boiling Water
  • Frying pot with at least 3 inches deep vegetable oil heating on medium high.
  • Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl with a whisk.  Stir in the boiling water well.  Scoop 1 tablespoon at a time into the hot oil and fry for 3 minutes.  Stir and flip any if they need it.  Fry for 3 more minutes.  Take up and drain onto paper towels.
