Tomato Paste (concentrate)
Ingredients
  • 1500g tomatoes, quartered
  •  
  • 20g macadamia oil (or nut free if required)
  •  
  • 10g Himalayan or Celtic sea salt
  •  
  • 2 bay leaves
  •  
  • Good sized handful of parsley
Steps
  1. Place all ingredients into your Thermomix and put the lid on.  Process for 10 seconds on speed 8.
  2. Cook for 45 minutes, Varoma temperature, speed 1, with the MC off and the basket on top of the lid.
  3. Scrape down the sides of the bowl and the lid and blitz for 1 minute on speed 9.
  4. TM31 users:  Cook for a further 15 minutes, Varoma temperature, speed 1.
  5. OR TM5 users:  Cook for a further 10 minutes, Varoma temperature, speed 1.
  6. Scoop tablespoons of the paste into ice cube trays and freeze then use as needed.
