Traditional Southern Fried Chicken

  • ½ cup mild hot sauce I use Frank’s Red Hot for this recipe
  • 2 ¼ cups all purpose flour
  • ¼ cup cornstarch
  • 2 ½ tsp seasoning salt
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp poultry seasoning
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 4 cups of peanut oil for frying
