Vegan Chocolate Peppermint Donuts

  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ⅔ cup nut milk (I used unsweetened vanilla almond milk)
  • ¼ cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 2 tbsp pure maple syrup

  • 2 miniature candy canes (finely crushed)
  • 2 tbsp semi-sweet chocolate chips
