Linda's Chocolate Cake
Chocolate Fudge Sheet Cake
Ingredients
  • 1 c. Water
  • 1 c. Butter
  • ½ c. Cocoa
  • 2 c. Flour
  • 2 c. Sugar
  • 1tsp. Baking Soda
  • ½ tsp. Salt
  • ½ tsp. Cinnamon
  • 1 c. Sour Cream or ½ c. Buttermilk
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla
Steps
  1. Combine water, butter and cocoa in saucepan and bring to boil. Remove from heat. Combine flour, sugar, soda, cinnamon and salt. Add hot cocoa mixture. Beat until smooth. Add sour cream or buttermilk, eggs and vanilla and beat well. Pour into a greased 15 ½ x 10 ½ x 1 inch pan. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 20 to 30 minutes. Pour frosting hot cake.

  4. ¼ c. Cocoa
  5. 6 Tbl. Milk or Buttermilk
  6. 1 tsp. Coffee Crystals
  7. ⅛ tsp. Cinnamon
  8. 16 oz. Confectioner's Sugar
  9. 1 tsp. Vanilla
  10. In a saucepan, combine butter, cocoa, coffee crystals and milk, Bring to a boil; remove from heat. Beat in cinnamon, sugar and vanilla beating until smooth and creamy. Pour over hot cake. Nuts may be sprinkled over the top.
