Tempura Batter
Ingredients
  • 6 tbsp whey protein isolate
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp xanthan gum
  • seasonings to taste, keep them light
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp sparkling water
Steps
  1. Heat the oil to about 350.
  2. Mix all ingredients very well, no lumps.
  3. Dip your veggies and shrimp in the batter, coat well and fry immediately until golden brown.
  4. Transfer to a cooling rack or paper towels to drain the excess oil.
