Grandma Walter Apple Pie
Ingredients
  • 3 pound bag of Granny Smith Apples ( most important to use Granny Smith) - sliced
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoon flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 unbaked pie shell
Steps
  1. Heat oven to 425°.
  2. Peel and core apples. Cut into thin slices.
  3. Mix apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon and lemon juice in bowl.
  4. Put pie shell into 9inch pie pan.
  5. Place apple mixture into shell.
  6. Put second pie shell on top. Cut four 1 inch holes into top pie shell.
  7. Cook in oven at 425° for 15 minutes; then another 45 minutes at 350°.
