Country "Fried" Cauliflower Steaks
Ingredients
  • 1 head cauliflower sliced about ½" thick (directions below) (500 g)

  • 1 cup 100% whole grain, sprouted or gluten-free bread crumbs (70 g)
  • One slice of bread yields about ½ cup (35 g) of bread crumbs, but the exact amount will depend on the type and brand of bread used. If using store-bought bread crumbs, use the cup measurement rather than the gram weight.
  • ¼ cup nutritional yeast (20 g)
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried rubbed sage
  •  
  • 2 tablespoons tahini (30 g)
  • 1½ tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon vegan gluten-free Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon spicy brown mustard (can sub dijon mustard) (3 g)
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
