mac n' cheese pasta - bynaturefood
Ingredients
  • 2.5 cups dry elbow macaroni
  • 1 cup TVP or texturised vegetable protein
  • subheading: cheesy white sauce:
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or melted vegan butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup oat milk or soy milk (cold or room temperature)
  • 1 ½ tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup 2 different vegan cheese
  • 1 tbsp nutritional yeast optional
  • ¼ tsp salt or to taste
  • dash of pepper
  • subheading: meaty tomato sauce:
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 5 button mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup rehydrated TVP
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • ½ tbsp tomato paste optional
  • 1 tsp chilli flakes
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp salt or to taste
  • Dash of pepper
  • subheading: garnish:
  • chives, sliced
  • crispy onions
