Lotion Bar Recipe for Nourished Skin
Ingredients
  • subheading: Here’s what you’ll need:
  • 2 ounce round steel tins
  • Intricate round lotion bar/soap mold
  • If you want to make labels, I used these 2 inch round kraft labels
  • “100% Hand Made” lotion bar/soap mold (pack of 6)
  • Square soap/lotion bar container (optional)
  •
  • Here’s an alternative lotion bar mold that I also love. It’s roughly the same size as the 100% Hand Made soap mold, so you should get the same number of bars per batch.
  • This recipe makes eight of the 1.5 fluid ounce square lotion bars pictured or ten of the round lotion bars in the video.
  • subheading: Ingredients (By Weight):
  • 4 ounces coconut oil
  • 6 ounces cocoa butter
  • 4 ounces beeswax
  • up to 1½ teaspoons essential oil  (optional)
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon Vitamin E (optional, I use this one both as a supplement and in my skincare products)
  • subheading: If no scale is available, try:
  • 1⁄2 cup melted coconut oil
  • 2½ cups grated cocoa butter, loosely packed
  • ½ cup grated beeswax, tightly packed
  • up to 1½ teaspoons essential oil (optional)
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon Vitamin E essential oil  (optional, I use this one both as a supplement and in my skincare products)
