  • ¾ cup gluten-free low-sodium chicken broth
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger OR 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • ¼ teaspoon red chili pepper flakes (or more or less)
  • ¼ cup + 2 Tablespoons water, divided
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 Tablespoon high heat cooking oil, divided
  • cooked rice, for serving
