Easy Instant Pot pasta
Easy bowtie pasta in the Instant pot

Ingredients
  • 1 pound of ground beef
  • 1 24 ounce jar of pasta sauce
  • 1 15 ounce box of pasta (for this recipe I chose bowtie pasta)
  • 24 ounces (3 cups) of water.
Steps
  1. Brown ground beef (see notes)
  2. Add the 24 ounces (3 cups) of water to the instant pot liner
  3. On top the water, add the ground meat back to the pot
  4. Add noodles, sprinkle around pot, not in a clump
  5. Add jar of sauce on top of the noodles, DO NOT STIR! LAYERING IS IMPORTANT! (see notes)
  6. Put on lid, set on sealing
  7. Cook on high pressure (depending on your pot, this will be "pressure cook" or "manual")  for 7 minutes, or half the time the pasta of your choosing indicates on the box.
  8. After it is done cooking, do a quick release to prevent noodles from becoming mush.
Notes
  • *If browning ground beef in the instant pot, remove meat when done, and use the water to deglaze (or scrap any bits) off the pot before adding ingredients,
  • *I can't say this enough: DON NOT STIR. Layering the ingredients are important here and prevents burning.
