Swedish Meatballs (Köttbullar)
Ingredients
  • subheading: Meatball Mixture:
  • 1 lb ground beef 85/15 or 90/10
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • ½ large Yellow Onion finely minced
  • 5 cloves Garlic finely minced
  • ½ cup unseasoned bread crumbs
  • ½ tsp all spice
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • 2 tsp dried parsley
  • 2 tsp sea salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • 2.5 tbsp olive oil ½ tbsp is for sautéing the onions and garlic and then the other 2 tbsp is for pan frying the meatballs and brown them on all sides
  • subheading: Meatball Gravy:
  • 4 tbsp Butter
  • 4 tbsp Flour
  • 3 cups Beef Broth
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tsp Yellow Mustard
  • ¼ tsp All Spice
