Creamed Corn

Ingredients
  • 1 lb frozen kernel corn
  • 12 oz whipping cream
  • 1 ½ tbsp melted butter
  • 1 ½ tsp flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 pinch white pepper
  • 3 tbsp parmesan cheese
Steps
  1. 1. Combine corn, cream, salt, sugar, and white pepper in a pot and bring to a boil.
  2. 2. Simmer 5 minutes.
  3. 3. Make a roux from butter and flour and add to corn. Mix well and remove from heat.
  4. 4. Transfer corn to casserole dish and sprinkle with cheese.
  5. 5. Brown under broiler.
Notes
  • Can substitute black pepper for white pepper
