  • 2      Tbsp. pure maple syrup (dark, for more flavor)
  • ¾     cup brown sugar, packed firmly (or maple sugar)
  • 1      Tbsp. flour
  • ¼     tsp. salt
  • 1      tsp. maple flavoring
  • 1      egg, beaten and divided
