Discard bread
Ingredients
  • 1 cup warm water
  • ⅓ c sugar (or 3 T honey)
  • 1 packet active yeast (2-½ tsp)
  • 3 cup bread flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 T oil (or melted butter)
  • ⅓ cup Sour dough discard
Steps
  1. Add water and sugar (or honey) and stir until dissolved
  2. Add yeast and let sit for 10 minutes
  3. In a stand mixer with a dough hook - add flour, salt, yeast mixture, oil or butter and discard
  4. Mix for 10 minutes on medium
  5. Cover for 1 hour
  6. Roll out, shape and put in greased loaf pan
  7. Let rise for 1 hour
  8. Bake at 350 for 25 to 35 minutes
Notes
  • Add cinnamon and sugar when shaping. Also raisins can be added, if you like.
