Hickory Maple Baked Beans
Vegan
Ingredients
  • 1 can plum tomatoes
  • 2 can white kidney beans
  • 1 can jumbo lima beans
  • 1 white onion
  • 2 tblsp oil
  • Maple syrup to taste (dark maple)
  • Mesquite liquid smoke
  • Cilantro
  • Salt to taste
  • Pinch Baking Powder
  • Jalapeno to taste (optional)
Steps
  1. Chop & cook onions in oil + salt + cilantro until wilted
  2. Add juice from canned tomatoes then squish each tomato into chunky pieces
  3. Add beans
  4. Add liquid smoke, salt & maple to personal taste
  5. Add pinch baking soda
  6. Add cilantro & Jalapeno to taste
  7. Cook 20 mins
  8. Serve with squeeze of lime & sour cream
