Servings: makes enough to feed an army!
Ingredients
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 2 pounds hot bulk sausage
  • 1 pound regular bulk sausage
  • 1 pound link Italian hot sausage (removed from casing)
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 green peppers chopped
  • 4 large cans crushed tomatoes (112 oz total)
  • 2 large cans tomato paste
  • 1 bottle Heinz Chili Sauce
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper
  • 1 Tsp Tabasco
  • 1 Tsp chili powder
  • ½ cup Sugar
  • 1 large can Spicy Chili beans (do not drain)
Steps
  1. Brown all the meat and drain. (I usually cook a pound at a time in a pan before adding to a large pot.)
  2. Sautee onion and green peppers and add to the meat pot.
  3. Add all other ingredients, except chili beans, to the meat pot and simmer for 2 to 3 hours.
  4. Add chili beans and simmer another 30 to 40 minutes.
