  • 1 corned beef brisket (3 to 3 ½ pounds)
  • ⅛ teaspoon pepper
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons cold water
