Thermomix Dhansak
Ingredients
  • 1 large eggplant
  • 500 g pumpkin, cubed
  • 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 ½ cups water
  • 1 can chickpeas, drained
  • 1 can lentils, drained
  • 1 Tbsp garam masala
  • ¼ cup fresh coriander leaves
  • 20 g oil or water
  • Chilli flakes to taste
  • 2 cm fresh ginger
  • 3 gloves of garlic
  • Rice
Steps
  1. Put the rice on to cook.
  2. Add the garlic, onion and ginger to the TM bowl. Chop for 10 seconds at Speed 7. Add oil or water. Sauté for 2 minutes on Varoma Speed 1.
  3. Add spices and all ingredients except chickpeas & lentils. Cook for 20 minutes at 100deg Speed 1.
  4. Add lentils and chickpeas for the last 10 minutes cooking time. Resulting mixture should by sillier in consistency to a thick dhal.
  5. Serve over rice and garnish with coriander.
